Hemp is considered to be one of the world’s most nutritious plants. The seeds are a powerful superfood and contain all of the nine essential amino acids, making them an ideal, complete source of natural, unrefined protein. They are rich in alpha-linolenic-acid, providing the perfect ratio of essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 for the human body. Magnesium, iron, and potassium are in good supply along with fiber. Some of hemp seed’s supply of antioxidants comes from its vitamin E content.
Our hemp seeds are grown organically on Dartington Estate in Devon. They are a delicious nutty addition to foods. Use a handful or two daily and feel the difference! We add them to smoothies, stews, soups, salads, muesli or fruit salads. You can soak them overnight if you wish. Or of course make your own hemp milk from them – add a handful of seeds to some water and blend. Then strain through a nut milk bag, or cheesecloth. Much more delicious, creamier and more natural that the hemp milk available in shops.
Boost your body’s own endo-cannabinoid system with omega essential fatty acids from our UK grown hemp seeds. This system governs homeostasis (balance) of the organs and functions of the human body.
If you look at the labels on hemp seeds in UK health food shops nearly all will say Produce of China. Our project is to bring hemp back to UK fields where it belongs. Support UK grown hemp!
